Here we share educational materials to support the development of knowledge, clinical skill, and research-informed practice. These resources are designed for clinicians, educators, and researchers seeking to deepen their understanding of emotion-focused approaches.

Join Dr. Mirisse Foroughe, C. Psych., for an Emotion Focused Therapy for Youth (EFT-Y) Level 1 4-Day Virtual Masterclass. Dr. Foroughe is the Director of the Emotion Transformation Institute and Clinical Director at the Family Psychology Centre. She has authored numerous research articles and edited two books on emotion focused approaches for youth and caregivers.

This training is designed for therapists who are new to EFT, as well as those with experience using EFT with individuals or couples. Participants will gain experience working with youth, parent-child dyads, co-parent dyads, and families within an emotion focused approach.

Dates + Time: September 14, 21, and 28 and October 5, from 8:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. EST

This Core Clinician Training provides foundational skills practice and didactic learning, covering Emotional Support, Therapeutic Apology, Behaviour Coaching, and working through Caregiver and Clinician Blocks.

The International Society for Emotion-Focused Therapy (ISEFT) supports the advancement of Emotion Focused Therapy through training, research, and community collaboration. Founded by Dr. Leslie Greenberg, with contributions from Dr. Robert Elliott, Dr. Laura Rice, and Dr. Sue Johnson, ISEFT provides a central platform for sharing EFT knowledge, research tools, and training opportunities. Our EFT-Y and EFT-F programs offer pathways toward certification as an ISEFT therapist and connection to a global network of EFT practitioners.
