Training Resources

Here we share educational materials to support the development of knowledge, clinical skill, and research-informed practice. These resources are designed for clinicians, educators, and researchers seeking to deepen their understanding of emotion-focused approaches.

Clinic Director Dr. Sarah Thompson is a certified EFT therapist, supervisor, and trainer with the International Society for Emotion-Focused Therapy (ISEFT). Dr. Thompson and the Transforming Emotions website offer specialized resources for clinicians to build skills in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), including professional training programs, supervision opportunities, and educational materials that support the ongoing development of EFT practice. The International Society for Emotion-Focused Therapy (ISEFT) supports the advancement of Emotion Focused Therapy through training, research, and community collaboration. Founded by Dr. Leslie Greenberg, with contributions from Dr. Robert Elliott, Dr. Laura Rice, and Dr. Sue Johnson, ISEFT provides a central platform for sharing EFT knowledge, research tools, and training opportunities. Our EFT-Y and EFT-F programs offer pathways toward certification as an ISEFT therapist and connection to a global network of EFT practitioners.
